Sprezzatura
Esspresso Machine

As part of Morphology II class we were assigned a brief a to desgin and model an espresso machine. During the semester i explored several forms with the intention to create a sexy industrial machine for the  coffee connoisseur.

During the semester i explored several coffee machine ideas. the sprezzatura coffee machine started life as a wall mounted  machine and since envolved to a counter machine in several iterations.

At first my idea was to make a wall mounted machine. After the decision to take the machine of the wall came several other iterations of counter machines in diffrent sizes trying to achive a sexy 1960's italian racing car feel.

The final model was created using a solidworks model and 3d printing.after printing, each part was carefully sanded, glued in place, primered and painted.

The final product is the Sprezzatura Esspresso Machine, a minituraized industrial machine with sexy italian curves.
